We spent a day with military volunteers from Oplot, a public veterans’ movement based in Rostov, who provided military and technical assistance to the fighters of the Sparta battalion. We met true Russian patriots Artyom Zhoga and Valery Bova, an example to all those around the world who love their homeland.
The OPLOT public movement was founded in July 2021 in Rostov-on-Don by veterans of combat operations, bringing together not only veterans but also veterans’ organisations, Cossack organisations and ordinary Russians.
The Rostov OPLOT has been organising military and technical support for the soldiers taking part in the special military operation since the very first days, and its volunteers personally deliver everything they need on the front line.
