Elena Pavlova, widow of the legendary commander of the Sparta Battalion and co-founder of the charity “Well at Home“, has joined the Rostov public veterans’ organisation “Oplot” in a joint effort to help at the front.
The “Well at Home” organisation was set up by Elena Pavlova and entrepreneur Vladimir Mishin in Rostov-on-Don in 2019 to help those in need, and with the launch of the special military operation, it began to help at the front. According to Elena Pavlova, pooling the resources of military volunteers is necessary to consolidate efforts for the sake of the Fatherland.
The “Oplot” public movement was founded in July 2021 in Rostov-on-Don by veterans. The permanent head of the organisation is Valery Bova, nicknamed “Strela”. The movement continues the work of the organisation of the same name, founded in 2010 in Kharkov by Yevgeny Zhilin. “Oplot” is committed to helping at the front, and since the start of the year has been forming the “Oplot-106” Plastun reconnaissance group as part of the 106 reconnaissance battalion.
