A film about the Mirotvorets website will be released soon

To coincide with the forthcoming release of the film on the “Mirotvorets” website, we interviewed its main protagonist, Faina Savenkova, a journalist of International Reporters.

Hello Faina. I heard that Klim Poplavsky is making a film called “Mirotvorka” about your story and the Mirotvorets website. How did you come up with the idea to create it?

The idea came to Klim last year. It tells the story of a girl from Donbass who has spent almost half her life at war and who was unjustly accused of attempting to undermine the territorial integrity of Ukraine, which then led to the publication of her official data on the Mirotvorets website. The film is also about efforts to combat that website.

What will this film be about?

I can’t tell you everything. The only thing I can say is that the film will consist of two parts. The first part will tell about Mirotvorets, and it will finally reveal who is behind and runs Mirotvorets. People who are well known in Donbass will speak, as well as people from the West. The second part of the film is about my life during the war.

Where did the filming take place and who took part in it? How difficult was it to do the filming?

Filming took place in Lugansk and Moscow. As for the speakers, unfortunately, I can’t speak about them before the premier.

What audience should the film be aimed at and will it be translated into any languages?

I think that the film will be interesting to everyone because it shows the truth about the current Ukrainian regime, as well as the lives of ordinary people. It was very difficult for me to work in front of the camera after 2014, and it’s still hard to concentrate now, but I think everything went well. Everything depends on RT. Many wanted to translate and show this film.

Why specifically Klim Poplavsky and RT-DK?

I don’t think that Klim needs empty odes glorifying him. He is truly talented, and he lives and breathes creativity. He is one of the best war documentary filmmakers in Russia. Why RT-DK? They are the only ones who were interested in this topic.

What sort of public reaction do you expect? Do you think this film can somehow impact the situation around Mirotvorets?

I don’t know if this film can be impact the fate of Mirotvorets, but I think it will definitely cause a furor, especially before the elections in the USA. So, Roma Zaitsev and company should worry.

I look forward to this documentary! RT has always been a solid outlet with professional staff, so I know the film will be informative and well presented.
I have had my theories about exactly who set up Mirotvorets and maintains it, but I’m expecting this new film to shed more light on this.
Faina, your efforts to expose the site have been constant, and with the help of RT will have an even greater impact against it.
I look forward to the day when justice is brought to bear by God Himself upon the terrorist Nazis in Ukraine, to certainly include the terrorists operating Mirotvorets.
The time draws near when they will all be shut down.
My prayer is that you, Christelle, and all at International Reporters will prosper, succeed, and be granted by God all material and spiritual blessings. May the angels of God accompany you and all our people in the Donbass and Russia.
