Greetings, Vladimir Vladimirovich,
My name is Faina Savenkova. I am a 16-year-old writer and journalist living in Lugansk. In 2021, I wrote an appeal to the U.N. Security Council. In this appeal, I called for attention to be paid to the fact that the children of Donbass have the right to a peaceful life. After that, my struggle with the Ukrainian nationalist site Myrotvorets began. I have written letters to presidents, politicians, and celebrities around the world, appealing to them to shut this website down. I have been threatened, and they have attempted to “liquidate” me, but no matter how scared I am, I continue to speak out about it because there are almost 400 children from different countries listed at this site besides me, who are in danger because their personal information, like mine, has been placed in the public domain.
I know that it is not the President’s job to shut down websites and punish criminals. But I also know that many in the world – children, journalists – are waiting for you and Russia to give a rigorous evaluation to what the Myrotvorets website is doing. If a criminal case is brought against Myrotvorets, the people who are named on this website will no longer be afraid.
I wish you a happy New Year and Christmas, and my famiIy and I thank you for protecting the civilians of the liberated territories from destruction.
Faina Savenkova
